What is Squire?
Squire is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects students and locals who need affordable storage with people who have extra space to share. We also facilitate ride coordination for everyday trips like grocery runs and airport pickups — making campus life easier without the Uber price tag.
Is Squire free to download?
Yes, the Squire app is completely free to download on both iOS and Android.
Who is Squire built for?
Squire is built primarily for college students — especially international students who need storage between semesters or reliable rides to places that are hard to reach without a car. Both Hosts (people with space or a car) and Guests (people who need storage or a ride) are welcome.
How do I find storage near me?
Open the app, allow location permissions, and browse available listings near you. You can view each Host's space, pricing, and availability before sending a booking request.
How do I list my space as a Host?
Create an account, complete your profile, and tap "List Your Space." You'll enter details about your storage space, set your pricing and availability, and upload a photo. You'll also need to complete Stripe Connect onboarding to receive payments.
What items am I not allowed to store?
Prohibited items include illegal substances, firearms, hazardous or flammable materials, perishable food, live animals, stolen property, and cash. Only store items you legally own. Full details are in our Terms of Service.
What happens if my items are damaged or lost?
Squire is a marketplace platform and is not liable for loss or damage to stored items. We strongly recommend Guests maintain renter's or homeowner's insurance that covers off-premises storage. Please review Section 4 of our Terms of Service for full details.
How does ride coordination work?
Squire lets you connect with people who are already heading somewhere you need to go — like Meijer, the airport, or a government office. Instead of paying full Uber prices, you coordinate directly and split the cost. It's community-based, not a taxi service.
Is this like Uber or Lyft?
Not exactly. Squire is not a licensed rideshare service. It's a coordination tool that helps people who are already going somewhere connect with neighbors who need a ride — saving money on both ends.
How are payments handled?
All payments are securely processed through Stripe. Squire never stores your credit card or banking details directly. Hosts receive payouts through Stripe Connect once their onboarding is complete.
Are payments real?
During the beta testing period, all payments are simulated. No real money is charged or transferred until the app is fully launched.
How do I get paid as a Host?
Complete Stripe Connect onboarding in your profile settings. Once verified, payouts will be sent to your linked bank account or debit card according to Stripe's payout schedule.
How do I delete my account?
To request account deletion, email us at unistorage2025@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." We will process your request and delete your data within a commercially reasonable period.
I didn't receive my verification email. What do I do?
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it's not there, try resending the verification from the app. If the issue persists, contact us at unistorage2025@gmail.com.
How do I update my listing or profile information?
Go to your profile in the app and tap Edit. You can update your name, photo, listing details, pricing, and availability at any time.
